What is 5g
You all would have seen 5g phones and few other things
related to it buzzing around the world. Well 5g is nothing but the latest and
upgraded version of previous 4g or it’s a mobile network beyond LTE. It’s
faster and efficient. It delivers more multi Gbps data speeds and more network
capacity. The International
Telecommunications Union also known as ITU released much news on standards of
5g networks which refers to as International Mobile Telecommunication
Network. ITU says in their guidelines
that 5g networks should have top data rate of 20Gbps for downlink and 10gbps
for uplink.
What are applications of 5g
5g is the new era mankind has ever seen it will be used in
many applications which are available now and which will be available in the
future, the central principle of 5g is that one single network to be able to
handle many cases of application and uses. Few important uses are mentioned
below.
5g IoT for Smart City
Many cities are
developing smart transportation system which helps in smooth movement of
vehicles and easy routing system for emergency cases.
Connected automobile
technology will enable bidirectional communications from vehicle to vehicle
(V2V), and vehicle to infrastructure, (V2X) to promote safety in transportation
arrangements. Smart cities are now setting up sensors in every intersection to
detect movement.

Industries
You have seen in automation industry robots working on
things together , all these robots requires wired connection for their working
as to go completely wireless the speed is not sufficient , but the introduction
of 5g enables the manufacturer to co wireless by connecting to the high speed
data network,
Enhanced Mobile Broadband
5g guarantees better cloud connection and increased data
rates with reduced latency. New applications will include fixed wireless access
for homes and other places. When there’s the absence of broadcast vans there is
much good connectivity for users who are on move.
Communications
In terms of communication 5g takes a big leap. It makes a
connection for devices available for smart cities, hospitals and schools and
other organization. Many communication
devices yet to be found and if they are invented 5g is ready to work with it.
Augmented and Virtual Reality
Due to the low latency the Augmented and virtual reality
experience is immersive. In the field of
industries worker can put on a AR goggles and explain the instructions or
showcase their ideas, in business virtual meeting can be held and in-terms of
entertainment case we can enjoy sports and other events using VR glasses.
Problems arise by 5G network
1.
Security issue
One of the studies done by a formal
analysis of 5g authentication conduct by scientists from ETH ZURICH, the
universities of Lorraine/INRIA, and the University of Dundee found that
criminals will be able to steal data and can hack into any data system because
“the critical security gaps are present,” the group says in their press
release. That’s in part because “security goals are underspecified” and there’s
a lack of precision in 3GPP standard.

Health issue
Numerous scientific publications have shown
that EMF affects living organisms at level well below most international and
national guidelines. Effects include increased cancer risk, cellular stress,
increase in harmful free radicals, genetic damages, structural and functional
changes of the reproductive system, learning and memory deficits, neurological
disorders and negative impact on general well-being on humans.

As far as now their’ s a massive distinct
in many bird species, which we barely found them. Many 5g network test cause
bird to drop dead, due to high radiation it affects the minds by which they go
blank for few minutes which causes them to fall down and got killed by the
high.
The studies say - “A shift of 10% of the
incident power density to frequencies above 6GHz would lead to an increase in
absorbed power between 3-370%”. This could lead to change in insect behaviors,
physiology and morphology over time due to an increase in body temperatures,
from dielectric heating.

Device and installation challenge
The timing of the initial 5G deployment is
determined by 5G availability, which is still scare. This is due to several
technical challenges, including multi-band support of upper and lower frequency
band, that causes design challenges for the front-end filters, it also poses
heating concerns, because of power consumption needed to transmit in high
frequency bands, and a significant performance impact for higher data rates and
bandwidths.
