THE CHALLENGE

Jewellery is worn for many reasons to feel good, to impress others, for aesthetics, or as a symbol of affection or commitment to loved ones. Aesthetics jewellery portrays many meanings but has very little practical purpose. This is why we challenged ourselves to design a digital product, that has the aesthetics of jewellery whilst being a personal assistant displaying messages, notifications etc.

THE RESULT

A perfect digital companion that will keep you up to date with customised notifications, all whilst adapting to your mood and outfits.

DESIGN CONCEPT

Clean simple and seamless was the goal of the physical bangle design. A seamless connection between each end of the flexible OLED screen would allow information, interaction and design to flow around the entire device

TWO SIZES FITS ALL

Three sizes of magnetic spacers would accompany the bangle for a level of adjustable to suit each wearer. Most women’s wrists are within the range of small to medium(130-200mm) and for men’s it ranges within medium to large (160-210). The size varies from small (8mm), medium (6mm) and large (4mm).

HEALTH & FITNESS

A fitness tracker is the best way to monitor your health and activity without having to pay too much attention to it. It can constantly measure your vitals, quality of sleep and step count effortlessly and accurately.

JEWELLERY NOTIFICATION

Haptic vibration along with interaction jewellery notifications keeps you on target to achieve your daily goals. Notification would appear and interact with the displayed jewellery style.

Playful apps keep you engaged and focused on your wellbeing

DISPLAY

Bangle allows information to be displayed around the entire circumference. You can drag information around surface or simple flip your wrist to display information in landscape format.

KEEP IT PERSONAL

A quick glance let’s you check caller ID’s, scan through notification, emails and messages. Notification information is displayed on the underside of the wrist for a more ergonomic feel. This viewing position also keeps the visible information more personal.

PAY IN STYLE

The bangle allows you to pay bills without taking the debit/credit card or mobile to pay. Just waving the bangle over the machine will do the job.

STYLE YOUR WAY

Visual distraction jewellery would be tailored to match or reflect apps and functions you use throughout your day. Distinctive visual feedback allows for greater engagement and personality through the daily tasks are important to you.
